Hi! I'm Bianca.
I am a certified clinical trauma specialist currently practising out of Windsor, Ontario. I am also the owner of Mindfully Me Group Practice. I have been passionate about mental health, cognition and behaviour for as long as I can remember. My education background is an advanced diploma in Child & Youth Work and a bachelor of Child Psychology from the University of Windsor. I took a very non traditional route to my current career as a therapist specializing in trauma. Since graduating, I have completed over 300 hours of continuing education in the areas of bottom up modalities and experiential trauma treatment:

I have six years of experience in the areas of residential, clinical, education and youth justice settings with children, youth and adults with a complexity of different struggles. The diversity of my work environments has benefited my skills and application of knowledge.
I have been trauma certified 4x under the talented doctors of Trauma Institute International and have experience being apart of their corporate coaching team. I recently traveled to Arizona to train on-site and finally connect with the faculty.
So how did that lead me here?
I believe that everyone deserves to know that they are not broken, disordered, or "crazy". There are neurobiological changes that happen automatically within us to protect us from threat. This causes emotion and behaviour change... sometimes of which, we are not proud of. We can work on this though.
Mental health is not a dichotomy between sick or healthy, it is a spectrum of health and wellness. Depending on our stress response, social connections, wired beliefs and subconscious habits... we all fall differently on this spectrum.
Once you have the knowledge of understanding how your nervous system and brain is wired to survive, you can begin to explore your emotions and behaviour with curiosity and compassion which leads to understanding, patience and long lasting change.
I want you to know, you are not broken and that we all struggle.
You do not need be "fixed" but you do deserve to heal.
And I would be honoured to assist you in doing that.

My work and approach is heavily influenced & inspired by Dr. Gabor Mate, Dr. Nicole Lepera, Dr. Peter Levine, Dr. Janina Fisher, Dr. Arielle Schwartz, Dr. Joe Dispenza, Dr. Stephan Porges, Dr. Bessel Van Der Kolk, Dr. Robert Rhoton and faculty at Arizona Trauma Institute embracing the Salutogentic Approach.
