At Mindfully Me we understand that our past experiences shape our core beliefs, view of ourselves, the world and the people around us. Our nervous system and brains are shaped at a young age to protect us from adversity, stress and uncertainty.
This affects everything including the way we feel about ourself and the way we navigate the world today- Including how we experience relationships, make decisions, and experience our emotions that leads to our behaviour.
Mindfully Me recognize healing as the process of attuning toward one’s physiological, psychological, emotional, and spiritual needs in order to explore what is needed to foster and nurture health and well-being.
From a strength based, trauma informed, compassionate lens we believe healing happens in relationships using one’s strengths and capabilities to build competency to move through stress, adversity and life’s challenges.
Mindfully Me understands all symptoms serve a purpose and they should be explored with curiosity and compassion, holding space for the parts of us we have protected through our behaviours that may no longer serve us. Compassion, empathy, warmth and curiosity is at the forefront of Mindfully Me's ethics & values.
Mindfully Me's hand picked team are all trauma trained & certified through our professional affiliation with Trauma Institute International. They hold the title of Certified Clinical Trauma Professional or Certified Clinical Trauma Specialist understanding the unique challenges stress, adversity and trauma can have on a person's mind & body.
